Frieze Art Fair,
London 2015

The thirteenth edition of ‘Frieze London’ took place in Regent’s Park, London from 14–17 October 2015, providing a comprehensive selection on contemporary art, bringing together 164 galleries from 27 countries, and attracting a record number of collectors. The event was comprised of an array of featured artworks alongside the ‘Sculpture Park’, ‘Frieze Talks’ and ‘Frieze Projects’; the celebrated non-profit programme.

The 2015 Sculpture Park was comprised of sixteen new and historical works, many of which will enjoy an extended tenancy, remaining on view to visitors to The Regent’s Park until 17 January 2016. The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: ‘Frieze Art Fair is one of the largest art fairs in the world, not only cementing London’s reputation as a global centre for culture and the art market, but contributing significantly to London’s economy. The Sculpture Park is a terrific free attraction and extending its run means that many more Londoners and tourists will be able to see it.’

‘Frieze Talks’ provided a series of discussions, lectures and panel discussions taking place in the event’s Auditorium. This year, the programme was co-curated for the first time by Christy Lange (Associate Editor, frieze) and Gregor Muir (Executive Director of the ICA, London). Gregor Muir said: ‘This year’s Frieze Talks mixes radical dissent with a focus on emerging artistic practice’.
