This year’s Geneva International Motor Show saw McLaren unveil their latest state-of-the-art supercar, the 720s. With its exquisite form and stunning shape, it’s no surprise that it took centre stage at their superbly designed event stand and was illuminated by a selection of alluring designs from our Signature Collection.

The McLaren stand was designed by the expert eye of Taylor-Smith Design and made use of a sophisticated palette of delicate muted tones punctuated by charming metallics. The striking Hera diffused ceiling pendants and wall lights draw inspiration from the bold geometric sculptures associated with Mid-Century design. Each piece is crafted with precision from laser cut brass sheets to create dynamic, angular light spills.

Featuring alongside our Hera range was the understated elegance of the Torun desk lamps. These were used to provide a warming addition to the seating area and enhanced the feeling of intimacy.

Our pieces were offset by an inspiring overhead installation, ‘Bangle’, from contemporary lighting studio Luum which contributed to making the McLaren stand a dramatic focal point. Comprised of scattered metallic pyramidal forms, the installation presents an intertwined series of clean, angular lines to cast dramatic and complex shadows. The versatility of the installation was also clear for all to see as the organic arrangement of forms customised specifically for the McLaren stand.

As one of the automotive industry’s most highly regarded annual events, the 87th Geneva International Motor Show opened its doors between the 9th and 19th of March, and featured 180 exhibitors including major manufacturers, high performance specialists, automotive designers and a range of specialist suppliers. With such experts in their field present, it was an honour to be included alongside them.
