An interview with Sable Interiors
Combining creative flair, artistic vision, innovation and enthusiasm together with excellent architectural understanding, Sable Interiors maintain a highly acclaimed and prominent reputation for creating spectacular lifestyle solutions for both private homes and commercial properties, large and small.
With over 20 years of experience, our multi-disciplined design practice comprehensively covers every aspect of design, build and home enhancement.
We also have an inspirational showroom full of unusual furniture; lighting, art and accessories that caters for walk-in clients.
After graduating from university I worked for Harrods for 7 years in a number of different departments, reaching senior management level. I believe this gave me a strong foundation in high-end luxury products. Following this, I took some time out to start a family, I was then able to focus on my passion for interiors. With my experience from Harrods as a basis I wanted to create an inspirational lifestyle gallery within a showroom setting that could bring uniquely sourced products to people’s homes.
Fabrics have always been my passion, so textured velvets and bright colours are definite favorites of mine. I also enjoy using unusual marbles that add character and wow factor, quality veneers (Grey Oak/ Tobacco) and metals such as Bronze and Antique Brass.
Every year, as a design team, we attend exhibitions such as Maison & Objet in Paris, Isaloni in Milan and Decorex in London. These fabulous events are a great way of staying up-to-date with current trends and they provide us with a wealth of inspiration and product knowledge.
I am also involved with the charity African Revival, which takes me to countries such as Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi and Uganda. These trips are so inspiring on many different levels but from a design perspective it has really encouraged me to use colour, pattern, interesting trimmings and natural materials.
At Sable Interiors we place a great importance on quality. We are proud to work with high-end suppliers and brands to deliver schemes tailored to our clients’ tastes. For all of our schemes, we inject personality with timeless elegance, where all elements work together in a unique blend.
We pride ourselves on our great relationships with our clients. It’s so key to listen to the client and incorporate elements of their individual personalities into their schemes. We are able to express this through choice of colour, fabric, art, unique accessories and much more!
We very much love the Heathfield & Co glass range and often team these with beautiful coloured satin shades for an extra pop of colour to go with any scheme. We recently installed the Christina Teal table lamps in one of our projects and were able to perfectly match the shades to the rest of the scheme. It was a stunning addition and finishing touch!
