Lighting Care Guide

To preserve your Heathfield & Co lighting, we recommend regular and mindful maintenance. Each of our pieces is handcrafted with exceptional attention to detail, and caring for them accordingly will ensure they remain as striking as the day they were made.

General Care
Always begin by turning off the power supply and allowing all components to fully cool. Using a clean, dry microfiber cloth, gently wipe down the lamp base and fittings to remove any surface dust or debris. Avoid abrasive materials and chemical cleaners, as these may damage the handcrafted finishes. Please refer to the product specification sheet for any material-specific cleaning instructions. 

Light Bulbs
Gently dust the bulbs with a soft, dry cloth to ensure optimal brightness and clarity of light.

Lampshades
Carefully remove the lampshade from the base, taking care to handle it delicately to avoid creasing, denting or marking the material. Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to lightly dust both the interior and exterior surfaces. We strongly advise against using any liquid-based cleaners on fabric shades, as this may cause watermarks or colour transfer.

Safety Checks
We recommend regular inspection of bulbs, electrical components and cables to ensure they remain in excellent working condition, and free from damage or wear.
