Intense, current and playful. These words tie together the global portfolio of Mondrian hotels – located in LA, New York and Miami to name a few. The hotels provide a playful framework so that guests and locals alike can immerse themselves in the culture of each city it inhabits. Marking the brands return to London, this sixth destination doubles up as the European flagship.
The Mondrian Shoreditch sits in the heart of London’s creative and cultural hub. Centered around 120 guest rooms and suites, there is a rooftop pool and lounge, 24-hour gym, treatment rooms, co-working area and so much more. The space is home to vibrant restaurant Bibo – a lively space perfect for casual lunches and spirited dinners, and Christina’s – an all day café and cocktail bar that celebrates local suppliers and brands.
The bold and brave design make this unique hotel a must visit destination for both locals and travelers. Exposed brick, hardwood floors and industrial style black framed factory windows give the rooms and suites their distinctive Manhattan apartment feel. Views boast of the city skyline from one side of the building and East London graffiti scenes on the other. The positioning of the brand and the exciting space it’s acquired create an interior designed to serve up innovation and creativity for everyone.
Teaming up with Duncan Miller Ullmann and Benjamin West, our team of bespoke product designers worked to create lighting to suit the sophisticated cool and contemporary aesthetic. Adjustable bedside wall lights, perforated ceiling pendants and picture desk lamps are among the bespoke lighting we designed, engineered and manufactured for the project, which can be seen in the city and country yard rooms, as well as the junior terrace suite.
