Templeton Garden, London

Tucked away in the streets of Kensington, Templeton Garden is a boutique hotel that offers a true sense of calm in the heart of London. Designed as a peaceful retreat for travellers, whether they’re in the city for work, rest or play, it blends timeless English character with a fresh, contemporary feel.

We worked in collaboration with the design team at London-based design studio, Thurstan to design and develop the bespoke lighting featured throughout the hotel. Every piece was designed to sit naturally within the scheme and support the mood of each space.

Warmth, depth and a sense of ease are felt throughout the public areas. In the quiet corners of the library, bespoke wall lights and table lamps offer gentle, ambient light for guests to unwind with a book or take a quiet moment for themselves.

Each of the hotel’s food and drink spaces called for its own distinctive approach. Pippin’s, the vibrant neighbourhood restaurant, is full of creative energy. Here you’ll see how our bespoke glass wall lights around this space add gentle drama to the room. Juxtaposing this is Pip’s café, which has a cosier, vintage feel with our glass pendants hanging over both the counter and the seating areas. Wall lights, designed as single versions of those used in Pippins, bring a gentle sense of connection between the two spaces. In Sprout, the hotel’s intimate bar, petite table lamps have been placed along the island to provide a warm, low-level glow. The lighting here is sophisticated but never showy - just enough to create a feeling of occasion.

In the bedrooms, the lighting was designed to reflect to the varying moods and layouts of each room type, while maintaining a clear design throughout. Across the Classic, Superior and Deluxe rooms, we supplied a layered mix of our Mira table lamps, tailored wall lights, wooden-based table lamps, and faux alabaster pendants. Each piece sits effortlessly within the warm, tactile palette.

In the Junior and Garden Suites, the palette evolves slightly - earthy tones, natural textures and classical detailing come together to create a grounded yet refined feel. Our Astri table lamps, with their tactile finish and sculptural shape, blend beautifully into these rooms. Paired with bedside wall lights and statement chandeliers, the lighting brings a quiet richness and sense of depth that enhances the suite’s character.
