This London family home, designed by Samantha Wren Interiors, takes a calm, considered approach to everyday living. Each space has its own character, held together by a neutral palette and a layered lighting scheme that carries you through the home.
In the living area, generous natural light pours through the sash windows, giving the room an easy, relaxed feel during the day. Positioned beside the seating area, our Nuri table lamps provide a soft, low-level glow. Their neutral ceramic base compliments the surrounding tones, keeping everything cohesive and calm.
The dining room feels more intimate in comparison, with sage green walls and accents woven into the warm neutral palette. Here, our tiered Sierra pendant becomes the natural focal point. Its rounded form sits comfortably above the circular dining table, creating a quiet sense of symmetry, while the mirror behind it doubles its presence. On the side table, a pair of Iris table lamps in Thyme add an ambient layer of light.
The family room takes on a richer tone. Textures are more tactile here, with deeper shades that invite a slower pace. Our Lila table lamp sits easily within this setting, its playful form bringing a touch of character to the side table.
Upstairs, the principal bedroom continues the same considered layering. A pair of Mae table lamps sit either side of the bed, finished with neutral shades and a prosecco lining that directs light both downwards and softly upwards onto the panelling. It’s a small detail, but one that makes a real difference in use; whether you’re reading in bed or simply winding down, the light is kept carefully out of your eye line, sitting exactly where it’s needed. Above, the Roehampton pendant carries the same material language through the space, its balanced form and subtle presence tying everything together.
