Recently opened in October 2022, the Sun Street Hotel is located in the heart of London’s creative and cultural hub in Shoreditch. Despite its traditional frontage, interior designers Bowler James Brindley have created a vibrantly elegant scheme inside with contemporary touches that embrace the historical and modern aspects of these contrasting capital areas.
Upon entering, a custom chandelier hangs over the reception, made from 41 miniature service bells, one for each room in the hotel. This two and a half meter installation, created by our experienced team of project managers, designers and engineers, connects the building's history to its new purpose, referencing the nearby Whitechapel Bell Foundry site.
The hotel offers a range of intimate spaces suitable for various occasions – from formal dinner parties to relaxed gatherings. The Orangery, for instance, showcases our bespoke lantern floor lamps that emit a soft glow, enhancing the warm and elegant atmosphere. Meanwhile, the library provides a serene escape from the city's bustle, featuring our Vivienne and Canyon table lamps in a palette of bronze, brown, and gold.
Guests have the choice of two primary decorative styles among the 41 rooms, which includes 7 suites. The classic bedrooms feature vibrant colours and tactile materials, enhanced by our bespoke chandeliers in the dining and living areas of the master suite. Our Antero table lamps in teal are seen on the bedside tables and harmonise perfectly with the rich colour scheme.
The contemporary style rooms in the newly-built extension features our Nacchera table lamps that have been custom-designed with a polished chrome finish.
