The Cinder collection is inspired by layered, light-catching jewels, worn like jewellery for the home. Spanning three designs across ceiling, wall and table lighting, the collection puts glass innovation centre stage, with every piece introducing a new process, finish or colourway. Mould-blown, rippled and layered glass detailing gives each design a sculptural, gem-like quality, nodding to Deco’s ornamental heritage but through a softer, more tactile lens. The collection also debuts our new Brushed Bronze metalwork, which sits alongside the glass to bring a considered, unexpected mix of materials – one that feels unmistakably us, while continuing our exploration of glass craftsmanship and material innovation. The name nods to the collection’s fire-formed glass processes, and the glowing fragments left behind once the furnace flames have burned out.
Darla, the collection’s most technically ambitious design, introduces a molten, lava-like outer layer to each shade – something we have never attempted before. It is formed through a two-step process: the initial glass form is remelted so that a second layer can take shape by hand around it, leaving each piece with a softly melted wave formation partway down.
“With Cinder, we wanted to push glass further than we ever have before. Every piece is handmade, so no two are ever quite the same – and that variation is exactly the point. There’s a real sense of craftsmanship in this collection, from the layered, scalloped details to finishes that have taken months to perfect. It feels like jewellery for the home.”
Hanna Russell, Head of Creative
Every piece in Cinder is handmade rather than machine-formed – a decision that pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved with glass, and one that embraces natural variation rather than uniform perfection.
Wren’s rippled glass base is equally hands-on: its pyramid form is cast in a wooden mould that is deliberately burned out before the making process, giving each piece a unique, irregular surface texture – no two are ever quite the same. The translucent glass catches and bounces light like a gleaming jewel.
Completing the collection is Willow, available as both a chandelier and a single wall light. Each piece is built from irregular, organically formed glass shades using the our signature antique frit finish and a decorative scalloped metal attachment. Where the chandelier makes a sculptural statement suited to large spaces and dining tables, the wall light offers a more compact expression of the same silhouette. Like every wall light in the Cinder Collection, it is IP44 rated for bathroom use, making it equally at home flanking a vanity or lighting a hallway.
