Heathfield & Co were delighted to supply a selection of lighting from the Signature Collection as part of the ‘The Hotel Room of the Future’, an immersive interior designed by 'Two’s Company Interior Design' at this year's Independent Hotel Show.
The Independent Hotel Show is one of the most comprehensive events for the luxury, boutique and independent hotel sector. The event is comprised of over 300 suppliers as well as a series of educational seminars and awards. This year’s event, which ran from 16th - 17th October at London’s Olympia, also unveiled ‘The Hotel Room of the Future’. This immersive interior, created by Two’s Company Interior Design, presents the trends and schemes predicted to be key for the boutique hotel industry.
Founders of Two’s Company, Nick Sunderland and Gilly Craft, President of The BIID, talked to industry pioneers, specialists and futurists to determine what the ideal Hotel Room of The Future should encompass. Its aim was to inspire, excite and educate hoteliers to offer ideas to improve the guest experience.
The room had an interconnected lounge area, bedroom and bathroom where guests were be surrounded by intuitive design. There was also an abundance of carefully chosen interior features including a selection of lighting from our Signature Collection including prominently featured Facet pendants as well as pieces from our Veletto range.
"Creating a room with 21st century technology, luxury, comfort and outstanding service for the guest, as well as seamless interaction with front of house and housekeeping, are the challenges of today’s hotelier", says Two’s Company. "A recent survey* revealed that technology is important on both sides but should not be invasive or difficult to use. It should be intelligent and responsive, integrated into the room. Seamless use of technology, in automatically updating housekeeping with individual requirements, for example, and a front of house that responds without intrusion or delay, is the aim. In addition, the guest requires comfort, elegance and style that is unique and individual. Our choices to convey this are carefully chosen and researched to create a room with outstanding product and service".
